Gitzo · Feet and spikes
Gitzo GSF38S 38 mm rubber feet and short spikes, set of three

When to choose it
The GSF38S suits a photographer who shoots on hard surfaces and softer ground during the same outing. Leave the 38 mm rubber caps fitted when that contact suits the surface, then remove the caps for the short spikes on softer terrain.
This is the 38 mm three-piece set. Gitzo also offers a narrower 30 mm option, so choose the actual rubber diameter you need and confirm the removable 3/8-inch tripod attachment. The cap method differs from the twist-adjustable GS5030VSF.

Fit and buying advice
Use the exact removable-foot specification for your tripod. Count the legs you need to equip and compare clearance with the larger caps attached.
Care Keep the caps together when using the spikes. Clear off dirt before refitting them for a sensitive floor.

Questions about this accessory
Is 38 mm the thread measurement?
It is the rubber cap diameter. Gitzo specifies a 3/8-inch mounting attachment separately.
How do I switch contact surfaces?
Remove the rubber cap to expose the short spike, then refit the cap when you need rubber contact.
Should I buy these or the 50 mm Big Foot set?
Choose the GSF38S if you want a short spike option. Compare the GSF50 when the wider foot is the main reason to change.
