Manfrotto 200PL quick-release plate with adapter

When to choose it
Keep the 200PL on a second camera if you swap bodies on a head documented for this plate. That leaves the plate on each camera instead of transferring a single plate every time you change setups.
The supplied adapter addresses the screw connection on the camera side. Check the receiver separately. A camera with the correct thread can still carry a plate that does not fit the head. Choose a 200PL-PRO only if its separate fit documentation covers the clamp you actually use.

Fit and buying advice
Look up the plate code in the head manual. Use the adapter only when the camera side requires it.
Care Manfrotto describes rotating the flip handle to fit the plate. Before putting the camera on the head, check that the plate is seated flush against the body.

Questions about this accessory
What does the adapter change?
It changes the camera attachment size. It does not change the plate's shape or the receiver it fits.
Why leave one on a second camera?
If both cameras use the same head, each can keep its own plate. Check each camera's mounting screw separately.
How do I distinguish this from a hybrid plate?
Check the complete model number. This is the 200PL. Manfrotto documents the separate PRO models for specific dual-profile use.
