Benro · Ball heads
Benro IB2 triple-action ball head with PU60 plate

When to choose it
The IB2 suits a photographer who alternates between quick ball movement and a series of frames along the horizon. Set ball friction for the camera you have mounted, lock the ball at the framing angle and then use the separate panning lock to work around the numbered base.
Benro supplies its PU60 plate, which attaches at the camera with a 1/4-20 screw. The head screws onto a 3/8-16 support. The 90-degree side notch can put the camera into portrait orientation, so check that a grip or connected cable clears the head when it is on its side.

Fit and buying advice
Use the supplied plate if you have not verified your existing plate against the clamp. Keep a hand on the camera as you adjust friction or move into the side notch.
Care Use the bubble level and numbered base to reset the same panning position. Check the clamp before releasing your hold on the camera.

Questions about this accessory
Can I record a panning position?
Use the numbered base scale and separately lockable pan axis as repeatable references.
What changes if I already own the Manfrotto 200PL-14 system?
Compare the receiver. The IB2 uses an Arca-type clamp and supplies its own PU60 plate.
Does the side notch preserve the same camera position as an L-bracket?
A side notch swings the camera relative to the ball. An L-bracket offers a separate clamp face and may better suit a composition you need to keep centered.
